Your affiliation to Trade Union Friends of Bhopal will:
• Support the Bhopal campaign in Britain and India targeting Dow and others culpable in denying justice to survivors.
• Help fund (via the Bhopal Medical Appeal) the Sambhavna Trust Clinic, an innovative free clinic providing healthcare, therapies and community health interventions whilst reducing clinical dependency on big pharmaceutical companies. Help fund the Chingari Trust Rehabilitation Centre where occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech therapists work with children born with physical and mental impairments due to the congenital effects of gas and toxic water poisoning.
• Enable more trade union members to hear about the aftermath of corporate crime the world over, offer solidarity with the victims, and campaign for stronger regulation on health, safety and environmental protection.
All of our activities are accountable to survivors’ groups in India associated with the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal, and respond to their needs and campaign demands. We will keep affiliates updated on both the situation in Bhopal and the activities of Trade Union Friends of Bhopal.
