BP’s Deepwater Horizon bill tops $65bn… Union Carbide still only paid $470m in Bhopal settlement

On the plus side, so far as BP is concerned, the latest financial pain for will be offset considerably by rising oil prices as Brent crude has averaged a priced of $54 per barrel last year, up from $44 per barrel in 2016.
