Please join us in welcoming the newest Trustee of the Bhopal Medical Appeal, Annie Murray. Annie is a writer with an educational background in literature, psychology of religion and journalism in the charity sector. She has been a fundraiser for the BMA since 2009 and also involved in campaigning, including participation in the ‘Die-In’ protest against Dow’s sponsorship of the Olympics in London in 2012.
Annie published her first novel, Birmingham Rose, in 1995. Since then she has published a new novel nearly every year, exploring themes of family and relationships during wartime. She donated all proceeds from sales of her novel Mother and Child, released in September last year and set between Birmingham and Bhopal, to the BMA.
We are delighted to have someone of Annie’s talent and experience on the team and are eagerly looking forward to working with her. Welcome Annie!
