Solidarity with Bhopal : Remember the Dead : Justice for the Survivors

Sunday 3rd December 2017, Edinburgh.

With songs from: Protest in Harmony

Gather at Greyfriars Kirkyard gates, beside the Bhopal memorial plaque, for 2.30pm start.

Community groups, trades unions, environmental organisations, individuals. All welcome to come and express solidarity with the survivors’ ongoing struggle for justice, to say a few words or silently to pay respects.

On December 3rd 1984, the world’s worst industrial-environmental disaster occurred in Bhopal, India, when toxic gas leaked from Union Carbide’s insecticide factory. More than 25,000 people have died from injuries sustained that night. Survivors’ children and their children continue to be affected.

No corporation has been prosecuted for the crime.

Corporations can hide but the people will not forget: Solidarity with Bhopal; Justice for the Survivors!
