The second, annual ‘Assist Bhopal’ Fundraising Dinner takes place in Milwaukee on the evening of the 3rd December. ‘Assist Bhopal’ is the brainchild of a remarkably driven young woman, Megan Dogra, who visited Bhopal as a part of her High School studies and was inspired to become involved in the Bhopal campaign. Megan produced an excellent short film, telling the effects of the disaster and the ongoing contamination in Bhopal, which was selected to screen at the Milwaukee Film Festival 2014 and later became an official selection for the 2015 All American High School Film Festival.
Megan also arranged a fundraising dinner, in December 2014, and is now promoting her second event. The dinner takes place at the Bollywood Grill, in her home town of Milwaukee, and the funds raised will go to the Chingari Trust Rehabilitation Centre, in Bhopal, to help pay for the care of children attending the centre.
