BMA Skydive Challenge 2019

This year, 5 brave fundraisers took on the BMA’s Skydive Challenge with the weather looking clear as they set off to Salisbury, excited and nervous. John and Sophi went up first and their fears evaporated to leave them with nothing but joy after landing from their jump.

Chris, possibly the most nervous of the bunch, was stepping onto the plane and preparing himself for the coming ordeal just as poor weather held things up. Nothing quite like a last-second delay to get the nerves flowing! But he was determined nothing would stop him and, once they were ready to go, so was he.

Finally, it was time for Rose and Sol to get ready. Thanks to some rain, they had no idea when it was going to be time to jump. An hour or so later, the skies cleared and the remaining two were ready to take on the highest jump possible, a whopping 15,000ft! that gave them a full minute of freefall before the parachute deploys and they float their way to the ground.

A huge thankyou goes to each of the fundraisers for facing their fears, and smashing their fundraising targets, to help the Bhopal Medical Appeal.
