Taipan, are a new International Metal project from Russia and the US, composed from the best traditions of thrash-metal inspired by Sepultura, Anthrax, Megadeth, and Pantera. Their upcoming self-titled album features an all-star cast, including Chris Poland (Megadeth), Aaron Rossi (Ministry, Ankla, Black Oil),Tony Campos (Soulfly, Static-X, Fear Factory), Michael Black (Black Oil, Stone Faced), Sergey Lazar (Arkona), Diana van Giersbergen (Xandria) and Andrey Nova (Crimson Blue).
Taipan have, for their second single, taken inspiration from the Bhopal story and aim to expose the truth behind it. On their website they say: “…The white fog crawled through the city and killed thousands while they slept. 300,000 suffered injuries and slow deaths. The Dow (Chemical) Company tried to cover it up. We will tell the true story to the world.”
