Yoga for Bhopal: Sheffield Workshop for International Women’s Day

We are pleased to announce that Helen Clay of the Sheffield Iyengar Yoga Centre will be running a yoga workshop to raise money for Sambhavna on International Women’s Day, March 8th 2020, from 2pm – 4.30pm.

Event Description from the Sheffield Yoga Centre:

Helen is teaching this workshop to celebrate women in Sheffield and around the world. It will include a talk about the history of women in Yoga, followed by poses that support women in our busy lives. A balanced blend of active and restorative yoga. This workshop has become a popular annual event at the Centre. The profits will be donated to the Sambhavna Clinic in Bhopal, India where yoga is used to improve the lives of families affected by gas poisoning.

If you are interested in attending, you can contact the Sheffield Yoga Centre at [email protected] or on 0114 2346475.

We would like to thank Helen and the Sheffield Yoga Centre for running this event for Sambhavna, and can think of no more fitting occasion than International Women’s Day. The women of Bhopal have been at the forefront of the struggle for justice since the day of the disaster and have achieved truly remarkable things in that time. We look forward to celebrating their efforts and achievements together on March the 8th.
