Hannah and Dominique’s Fundraiser Update

A few weeks back we posted about Hannah Hudson and her mother Dominique, who had been planning to walk the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for the clinics in Bhopal. Unfortunately, due to the current coronavirus crisis, they will no longer be able to undertake that particular walk. However, we are delighted to report that they have come up with a new plan to go ahead with the fundraiser. Hannah has kindly sent us an update with the details:

The Test Way is a local, long-distance walk that follows the River Test through Hampshire into Berkshire for a distance of 44 miles. Starting this Wednesday, 1st of April, and for as long as current guidelines and rules allow, we’ll walk a section of this route each day, until we’ve done the whole length, first in one direction and then back again. This means we’ll cover the same distance we would have walked along the Hadrian’s Wall trail (88 miles).

Current UK government guidelines allow members of the same family group to leave their home and undertake one form of exercise together each day, such as a walk. We will keep the required 2 m/6 ft distance from other walkers we meet along the pathways and take all the required and prescribed precautions!

Best wishes and thank you!

Hannah and Dominique

We would like to thank Hannah and Dominique for deciding to go ahead with the fundraiser and wish them every success on their walk. If you would like to learn more and perhaps support Hannah and Dominique with a donation, you can find the link to their JustGiving page here.
