Bhopal Medical Appeal Runners Tackle Brighton Marathon

Sunday 15th April saw father and son team, Chris and Tom Addison, take on the Brighton Marathon in aid of the Bhopal Medical Appeal. The weather was on fine form as were our runners who made great times times of 3hrs and 20 and 3hrs 34 minutes respectively. Chris was delighted to have beaten his son to the finish line:

“Sunday, I just was in the mood for playing. We had driven 800 miles to Brighton and nothing was stopping me. I was sure of Tom slaughtering me, but every leg we ran I could see the gap increasing and although I never believed it until I was being rescued on the finish line by a lovely cuddly St.John’s lady who just smothered me in her warmth. What a day! I sneaked into the GFA (good for age) by a mere second. But nothing was as nice as me beating my amazing son! The banter will live as long as we do.”

We’d like to say a big thank you to both of our runners for their amazing effort. Find out about the range of fundraising activities and challenge events we offer here.
