We are pleased to announce fantastic news from Agnes Riley of Dumfries who has just completed her 30-mile, coast to coast walk across the Lake District in aid of the Bhopal Medical Appeal.

Sporting red BMA T-shirts, Agnes, her daughter Emma, and other family members, walked the distance over four days stopping overnight in youth hostels. Agnes found parts of the walk tough at times but managed to finish, without mishap, on Sunday June 2nd. Luckily, Agnes and her supporters were blessed with fine weather which meant they were able to savour the beauty of their surroundings. Agnes found it challenging, especially scaling 5 bar farm gates! She is exhausted but happy and is still raising sponsorship money from her supporters ( exact figure to be confirmed in due course).

During the walk Agnes and Emma’s BMA T-shirts attracted lots interest from members of the public. The local press in Dumfries have covered Agnes’ story and pictures and cuttings will follow.

With our very deepest appreciation and thanks to Agnes, her family, and her supporters. You can still sponsor Agnes and Emma via Virgin Money Giving here
