Christmas in Bhopal

So, what happens in Bhopal at the time of this Christian festival? Although Christians represent only a relatively small number of Indian people, it is still India’s third most popular religion. In Indian culture, festivals are celebrated with gusto and, in many cases, there seems no reason not to celebrate another’s festival!

At the Chingari Trust Rehabilitation Centre the children were treated to a joyous day with Santa delivering sweets, and music to dance to, and it looks like a good time was had by all.

At Sambhavna, things were somewhat quieter as the clinic closed for the day. Volunteer Ian Jarvis made a lovely video diary post describing the atmosphere. The day before Christmas at Sambhavna.
