Backwell Festival 2018 Supports Bhopal Medical Appeal as Overseas Charity.

From humble beginnings, Backwell Festival has grown into a much-loved independent music festival in an idyllic setting.  Offering an inspirational, diverse and eclectic line-up, with an emphasis on world rhythms, theatre and educational workshops, Backwell promotes good food, creativity and art, while raising money for local and global good causes.

Backwell Festival is run on a not-for-profit basis by a group of media, event and music professionals and raises money every year for local and international charities. Backwell’s international charity for 2018 is The Bhopal Medical Appeal.

This year’s festival theme is Oceans and, more particularly, the environmental harm caused by the use of throwaway petrochemical plastics, which will be explored through theatre, art and discussion. Backwell will be welcoming green champions to their ‘Eco Hub’ throughout the weekend, including: Greenpeace, Plastic Oceans UK, City to Sea, FRANK Water, Surfers Against Sewage and Sustainable Backwell.
