Ziggy’s ‘Stratford Twinned With Bhopal’ Painting Up For Grabs!

A common sight at protest events in London, while we were opposing Dow Chemical’s sponsorship of London 2012, was a giant banner made by ‘rebel, recycler, bicycler, artist’ Lee ‘Ziggy’ Norton. The banner image was of a filthy, psychedelic Union Carbide factory spewing out toxic fumes from an oversized 2012 Olympic Torch.

The caption on the banner simply read ‘Stratford- Twinned with Bhopal

The banner was reproduced from an original painting, pictured above and, although the banner was eventually confiscated from Ziggy at one of the protests, the image did, nonetheless, crop up in a magazine in Dubai!

Ziggy who now wishes to sell the painting and donate the proceeds to our appeal.
