Brighton Unitarian Church, New Road, Brighton BN1 1UF
The Bhopal Medical Appeal will be holding their annual evening of music to mark the 30th anniversary of the Bhopal gas disaster.
Thousands were killed or injured on the night of 2/3 December 1984, when a cloud of toxic gas escaped Union Carbide India Limited’s pesticide plant. The struggle for health and justice goes on.
The concert, which will be held in the elegant surroundings of Brighton Unitarian Church, will feature an enjoyable blend of traditional Indian music and classical pieces. Highlights will include: Akash Indian Flute and Tabla Duo, plus a piano recital by Georg Michael Grau. We will also be showing a film of the Maria Fidelis Catholic School Gospel Choir performing their song for Bhopal, Breathe Fire.
Wine, soft drinks and snacks will be available during the interval (contributions to the cost much appreciated).
Tickets are priced at £10 (£8 concessions). Following last year’s sell-out concert, this promises to be a very popular event. If you would like to join us, please call us on 01273 603278 or email [email protected] to book tickets. A limited number of tickets will be available on the door but we do advise early booking to avoid disappointment.
We look forward to seeing our supporters there.
