Harriet, Jade and Charlotte (below) hard at work last Tuesday transforming rubbish into works of art for our Bhopali Sculpture Garden in the Leftfield at Glastonbury Festival! (Yikes, it’s only a couple of weeks – gulp!). We really need lots more more plastic bottles, bags and unwanted fabric scraps.
We’d love you to join our Glastonbury Festival preparations – you don’t have to be ‘arty’ or think of yourself as creative, just willing to lend a hand. You can get involved by:
- Coming along to our workshops every Tuesday (6-8pm) and every Saturday (11-1pm) in central Brighton.
Thursday 9th and Friday 10th June are all-dayers.
Please call the office for details.
- Collecting coloured plastic bags, particularly orange and lime green
- Collecting clear plastic bottles, clean please
- Collecting brightly-coloured fabric scraps
Thanks to all the support we have had so far, so many people have already given so much of their time, thinking heads, doing heads, given discounts, and donations towards our presence at the festival this year. We’ve come a long way!
And for those that are going to Glastonbury, it goes without saying that we’d love to see you in the Leftfield. Come and relax, chat, drink chai and help us continue creating the Bhopali Sculpture Garden…rumour has it that we will be welcoming some special guests and giving away some truly extraordinary prizes…watch this space!
