In 2017, Dow merged with DuPont to form the world's largest chemical company but Bhopal didn’t even rate a mention in the Dow and DuPont merger documents.

In 2018, DowDuPont registered the necessary documents, with US authorities, to begin splitting in to three new companies.

One of the companies will be a new Dow and its filing documents acknowledge that it will be liable for claims against Union Carbide. But, it mentions only asbestos related claims in the US, and NOT any claims pertaining to Bhopal in India.

Dow & DuPont want all of us to forget Bhopal. It would leave them free to bury survivors' basic rights to health, justice and dignity under a mountain of corporate law red tape.

Don’t let Dow Chemical and DuPont use their corporate restructure to bury the world’s worst industrial disaster.

Instead, let's use it to ensure Bhopal can never be forgotten. Please take a moment to join us in telling them – #DontBuryBhopal. Then share with others so they can too. Thank you.

We believe Dow must finally accept responsibility for Bhopal. Until then, The Bhopal Medical Appeal funds two award-winning clinics in the city. Both offer free, first-class care to victims of the gas disaster or the ongoing water contamination. The survivors have nowhere else left to turn – please help if you can.
