Sambhavna Documentary to be screened at FACT in Liverpool

To add to its’ previous success at West Midland’s Human Rights Film Festival, ‘Sambhavna: a documentary’ will be screened at FACT in Liverpool in November 2012. ‘Sambhavna’ is a self- shot documentary made by medical students Joe Malone and Lotte Hardman during their trip to Bhopal in 2010.

Sambhavna will be shown at Liverpool Film Night at FACT on Thursday 29th November 2012.

Liverpool Film Night is an event for filmmakers in Merseyside that sets out to discover and showcase the best local talent producing film in the region. Filmmakers working in any medium are invited to submit their films for consideration. The film must have been made within the last 18 months and be no longer than 15 minutes in length.

This year, FACT’s Liverpool Film night will be programmed by Guest Curator, Martin Wallace. Martin Wallace is a filmmaker based in Merseyside who was recently nominated for the prestigious Michael Powell award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival for his feature film debut, Small Creatures (2012).

Filmmakers will be invited to take part in a Q&A chaired by Martin Wallace and FACT’s Curator.

We believe Dow must finally accept responsibility for Bhopal. Until then, The Bhopal Medical Appeal funds two award-winning clinics in the city. Both offer free, first-class care to victims of the gas disaster or the ongoing water contamination. The survivors have nowhere else left to turn – please help if you can.
