The Bhopal Medical Appeal are looking for volunteers to run for Bhopal on the 8th July 2012 to represent and fundraise for the charity at the British 10k. We have less than 100 spaces left so prospective runners are running out of time to take part in what is considered one of the most prestigous 10k road races in the country.
The iconic route takes you past several of the capital’s landmarks, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column as well as Westminster Abbey.
Every runner that takes part in this event comes out of it with a meaningful and rewarding experience, not to mention a healthier person! Doing the run is a great achievement in itself, so just imagine the feeling you’ll get knowing that you’ve not only had a great physical achievement but are also making a difference in the world, with the money raised helping to fund the clinics set up to help survivors recover from the Bhopal disaster.
In other news, the Cardiff half marathon is coming up at the end of the year on Sunday 14th October, 2012. We don’t have any places for runners in this race, but if anyone is willing to represent the charity and do some fundraising of our own then we would greatly appreciate it!
Cardiff hosts one of the UK’s best half marathons. It is hugely popular with runners, with over 15,000 runners taking part every year. The course is very flat and fast, which is ideal for those who want to beat their personal best in half marathons.
While the course itself is flat, the crowd is the exact opposite as runners will always have a large and enthusiastic audience ready to cheer them on for the entirety of the race as the runners take in the sights of all the city’s landmarks. Every individual runner will get a commemorative medal, t-shirt and goody bag for their troubles.
If anyone is interested in either of these events, then please get in touch with us at email@example.com.
