A pop-up shop held by supporters in Gloucestershire last month raised a fantastic £204.89 for the Bhopal Medical Appeal. 20% of the days proceeds were donated to the cause plus a collection from the charity raffle.
The event which was held in an empty shop on Stroud High Street, was transformed into a quirky crafts emporium with handmade gifts, vintage clothes, retro toys, unique jewellery and fascinators plus delicious cream teas, coffee, mince pies and homemade cakes.
– Kate Goodhead: illustrator
– Pomme van Drie: glass artist
– Anna Brooke of Box-Kite and Glider: handmade recycled textiles and bags
– Dee Maughan: handmade cards
– Olivia Dell: world textiles
and Lizzy from the Vintage Tearooms.
48 Stroud High Street was donated courtesy of Stroud Open House. Prizes for the raffle were kindly donated by Made In Stroud, The Clothiers Arms, Stroud FM, Olivia Dell, Kate Goodhead and Charlie Roberts.
The BMA would like to extend our thanks to all the artists who made the event such a success.
