In Pictures: the 36th Anniversary

Holding banners and placards calling for justice and accountability for the disaster, they also burned an effigy of Jim Fitterling, CEO of the Dow Chemical company. On the evening of the 2nd of December, exactly 36 years after the night the gas leaked, they held their annual candlelit vigil with burning torches.

We believe Dow must finally accept responsibility for Bhopal. Until then, The Bhopal Medical Appeal funds two award-winning clinics in the city. Both offer free, first-class care to victims of the gas disaster or the ongoing water contamination. The survivors have nowhere else left to turn – please help if you can.
