How Sambhavna will mark the 27th anniversary

Clapping and cheering, shouts of ‘more’, ‘more’, not your average work meeting…brother and sister, Madhav and Santosh, drummer and singer (research fieldworkers at the clinic) delight the rest of the staff assembled in the gol ghar for the weekly meeting. Their songs, penned in remembrance of the gas disaster, will open a short play, also performed and written by six of Sambhavna’s multi-talented staff.

The play – about how chemicals affect the average person – will be performed before the candlelit vigil on Friday, December 2nd. Another group, including the gardeners, will tour schools and colleges with a selection of herbs from the clinic garden, colourful posters, health education pamphlets and examples of the alternative cleaning products used in the clinic. We believe Dow must finally accept responsibility for Bhopal. Until then, The Bhopal Medical Appeal funds two award-winning clinics in the city. Both offer free, first-class care to victims of the gas disaster or the ongoing water contamination. The survivors have nowhere else left to turn – please help if you can.
