A Volunteer’s Video Diary

Ian Jarvis is a practitioner and tutor of ‘Spineworks’, a form of physical therapy focusing on the soft tissue of the body and is currently in Bhopal, for the fifth time, voluntarily offering his services at both the Sambhavna and Chingari clinics.

Ian always takes a deep interest in whatever is going on around him and, on this visit, has begun recording a video diary. These lovely videos can be found on Ian’s Facebook page @3MonthsInBhopal or on the BMA’s Facebook page. Please take a look for a real sense of the flavour of Bhopal.

Interview (31/10/18) with Emma and Aileen, two volunteers with Chingari Clinic.

This is the first in my series of interviews. Emma and Aileen have recently graduated as Physiotherapists and have spent time in Chingari before returning home and looking for jobs.

We believe Dow & DuPont must finally accept responsibility for Bhopal. Until then, The Bhopal Medical Appeal funds two award-winning clinics in the city. Both offer free, first-class care to victims of the gas disaster or the ongoing water contamination. The survivors have nowhere else left to turn – please help if you can.
