A Charming Peg Doll Fundraiser

Dolls 03

We thank our loyal supporters for their individual fundraising initiatives which continue to generate revenue and awareness for the BMA all around the UK. Olivia Dell has been fundraising for the BMA since July 2008 and specialises in stocking traditionally hand-woven textiles from around the world in her studio in Stroud, along with embroidered ethnic pieces and folk art.

Olivia also makes traditional style peg dolls and holds doll-making workshops. She is now offering Peg Doll Parties for up to 6 children, where all materials are provided for at a cost of just £45. All proceeds to the Bhopal Medical Appeal.

Olivia has raised well over £3000 for the BMA with her fundraising initiatives and has supported the BMA since July 2008 when she responded to our advertisement in the Independent.

Ms Dell has held a Ragmarket sale and, in July 2014, a garden sale in our honour. She has also raised money through Peg doll sales from her website and by selling a peg-doll collection at the Manchester Textile Fair. See Olivia’s peg dolls on her website here: CLICK

More recently, in May 2015 at the Nailsworth Festival, Olivia held a Peg Doll Workshop.

Peg Doll Kits available at £3 each, glue not included.

Please contact info@bhopal.org if you’d like to know more about the parties or the kits.

We believe Dow must finally accept responsibility for Bhopal. Until then, The Bhopal Medical Appeal funds two award-winning clinics in the city. Both offer free, first-class care to victims of the gas disaster or the ongoing water contamination. The survivors have nowhere else left to turn – please help if you can.
