PORTRAITS OF PAIN- CHILDREN DAMAGED BY POISONED WATER

All the children are from communities whose water is poisoned by chemicals
leaking from the Union Carbide factory. Union Carbide and its parent Dow
Chemical refuse to clean the plant. While lawyers and politicians argue, people
die, and the innocent unborn are maimed in the womb.

These children were examined in December 2006 by specialists from Delhi
who were appalled at the sheer number of malformed and brain damaged
children being born in this one terribly afflicted community.
