International Day of Solidarity, August 28th 2012

International Day of Solidarity Bhopal ParalympicsOn the 28th of August 2012, an internationally coordinated candlelit vigil will take place in solidarity with the people of Bhopal who continue to be affected by Dow Chemical’s toxic legacy.

This action will be supported by a variety of people, including Navin Shah AM, London Assembly Member who recently got the Assembly to pass a vote condemning Dow’s Olympic Sponsorship, a number of groups such as the Bhopal Medical Appeal, Drop Dow Now and DPAC, and in various countries including the UK, India, USA, Vietnam and Australia.

A vigil will take place all over the world, as well as in central London at 8pm, so if you can come along to that, please do! Details to follow on location etc.

The central London vigil will take place at Old Palace Yard, SW1, opposite Parliament (nearest tube station Westmintser). All welcome!

Join in and send pictures of your vigil to [email protected], along with anything you want to say – we will put them on the website and hopefully create a truly worldwide event.

We will be uploading your pictures to our facebook page which you can go to here. If you have videos and would rather use vimeo then let us know and we can upload them to our vimeo account.
